09.02.2022 - Education Partners Update

We’re glad to announce that we now have a new Medical School using PKB with their first year students!

On the 31st of January, we went live with Newcastle University Medical School who are using us in both their Newcastle and Malaysian campuses.

Newcastle University is using our simulated model, where medical students use fictitious patients’ health records to practice communication skills and patient management. Read more here.

Simultaneously, we are also live with the University of Manchester Medical School, Liverpool John Moores University School of Pharmacy and Leicester University School of Medicine, who continue using PKB to allow the healthcare professionals of tomorrow to practice shared care planning as well as digital and consultation skills.

Looking ahead, as well as reengaging with previous partners as they plan for their next term, we are also reaching out to new educational institutions to discuss use of PKB.

Student and patient volunteer feedback tells us that the use of PKB allows students to get an in-depth understanding of putting patients at the centre of their health and care, and we are looking forward to sharing this message with new organisations.

In December we submitted a report to Pfizer documenting our work over the last 6 months, and now you can read it here.

15.09.2022 - New Education Partners: nursing and physiotherapy

This summer we have welcomed as a new partner of our Education Programme the University of Winchester’s Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.

It is a pleasure to start working with such a great institution, whose mission of building a digitally ready workforce perfectly aligns with ours. The faculty believes that to reach this goal, it is key to start with educating students utilising high quality technology, such as the one PKB provides.

In July, we have been used, in particular, by 18 of their nursing students during a virtual placement, and in September, by 120 physiotherapy students during a simulated placement preparation week. This got us even more delighted as, while the use of PKB in clinical settings is well widespread among these 2 specialties, the University of Winchester was the first in which our platform was used by students of these subjects

A case study on this great work is coming soon!
