What is one to one registration?
One to One Registration is a clinical or admin professional within the organisation supporting a patient with their registration. This can be done through adding an email to PKB, or your PAS (if the HL7 add email feed is switched on), giving out QR codes to promote registration through NHS login or supporting a patient with the registration steps.
Why?
This can also be the best and most effective way for patients to engage with the organisation they are under the care of. As they are likely receiving care at the time when contacting a member of the organisation; they could benefit from having access to their data and clinical resources in their PKB record and understand the legitimacy improving the likelihood of them registering.
How?
There are lots of ways to encourage registrations with patients on a one-to-one basis:
Face-to face
Example; in the clinic, pre/post appointment, volunteers throughout the organisation, on discharge, at reception and booked desks.
Patients could be encouraged here to provide email details which can be directly entered to their record to invite the patient or they could provide a QR code asking patients to self-register with their NHS login.
Telephone
Example; Booking lines, helpdesk and telephone appointments.
Patients could be encouraged here to provide email details which can be directly entered to their record to invite the patient or supported to complete a registration they have started.
For any further advice or information on registering your patients face to face please contact your PKB Success contact.
