What is Kiosk Registration?

Kiosk Registration is where a patient using a clinic kiosk check-in at the point of appointment or visit to the hospital, can be sent a registration link to join PKB. By using the Kiosk it verifies the patient’s identity and asks for their email address, then when connected to your PAS, an email registration link from PKB is sent to the user allowing them to register.

Why use Kiosks?

Using Kiosks is a way to obtain up to date information about your patients which allows you to invite patients to register for PKB who are already thinking about their health, i.e. while waiting to see their clinical professional.

How to use Kiosks as a registration method:

You can customise your current kiosk yourself, or ask the company who manages your current kiosk to make the changes. In order for PKB to invite patients in an automated fashion, the kiosk needs to be connected to the hospital's PAS and the HL7 [email link] email feed needs to be switched on.

If you are interested in using a Kiosk, please contact your success PM for more information.
