PUG 2022/12
Maternity User Group
On Thursday 8th December Maternity became the spotlight of another successful PKB user group. Maternity teams from across England discussed their learnings, successes and best practice when it came to deploying PKB. The session was useful in particular to feedback around the registration process, as maternity service users typically self-refer there was good discussion on the use of self-registration pages from Trust websites.Â
The use of PCSP careplans for all Maternity service users as a national goal, highlighted how PKB could really be a useful tool in ensuring all Maternity patients have access to these digitally. PKB listened to the feedback around the design and functionality of the careplans and how we could improve on this in the future.Â
Complex care in Maternity was another focal point of the conversation, demonstrating how PKB careplans could support women and pregnant people to monitor Maternity-related conditions from home. This would ensure they had clear guidance, information and instruction for how to manage their condition and know when to escalate to their health care providers.
Going forward, we look forward to continuing our work with Maternity teams and working alongside fantastic Midwives and Obstetricians to enable informed pregnancy journeys and positive outcomes for parents to be and their babies.
