09.02.2022 - Education Partners Update

We’re glad to announce that we now have a new Medical School using PKB with their first year students!

On the 31st of January, we went live with Newcastle University Medical School who are using us in both their Newcastle and Malaysian campuses.

Newcastle University is using our simulated model, where medical students use fictitious patients’ health records to practice communication skills and patient management. Read more here.

Simultaneously, we are also live with the University of Manchester Medical School, Liverpool John Moores University School of Pharmacy and Leicester University School of Medicine, who continue using PKB to allow the healthcare professionals of tomorrow to practice shared care planning as well as digital and consultation skills.

Looking ahead, as well as reengaging with previous partners as they plan for their next term, we are also reaching out to new educational institutions to discuss use of PKB.

Student and patient volunteer feedback tells us that the use of PKB allows students to get an in-depth understanding of putting patients at the centre of their health and care, and we are looking forward to sharing this message with new organisations.

In December we submitted a report to Pfizer documenting our work over the last 6 months, and now you can read it here.
