Translation process

Please note when completing translations it is fundamental that the rules outlined below are follow, these can be seen by clicking here

1. Login at

https://crowdin.com/

1. This will then take you to the Crowdin homepage

Open

1. Click on the language from the list shown, this will then take you to the following page

Open

1. On this page click the

“Translate All” button

1. The following page will then allow you to add translations, a list of English strings are listed in the left hand pane to be translated

1. Clicking on an individual string on the left pane will then show it in the central pane where a translation can be added

1. To see a list of untranslated strings click the ellipsis at the top of the left pane and select

“All, Untranslated First (Default)”

1. The untranslated strings will then be shown (note that untranslated strings are marked with a red icon)

1. To add a translation

a. Enter the translation in the “Enter translation here” section

b. Click the “Save” button

c. Click the tick symbol to approve the translation

Important rules to follow when completing translations

The following rules must be adhered to when completing translations:

Handling dates:

Date time patterns should not be translated e.g.

String to be translated

dd MMMM yyyy 'at' HH:mm

• only the word "at" should be translated

• the word at must also be enclosed in single quotes

Handling keywords:

{VAR_SELECT, select, KEY1 {value1} KEY2 {value2} other {otherValue} }

• In these labels, only the three values (value1, value2, otherValue) shall be translated, all other characters must remain exactly as it was in the original.

Words in Braces/Curly Brackets e.g. {value1}

{VAR_SELECT, select, generalHealth {General health} mentalHealth {Mental health}

sexualHealth {Sexual health} socialCare {Social care} other {ERROR} }

should be translated to:

{VAR_SELECT, select, generalHealth {algemene gezondheid} mentalHealth {geestelijke gezondheid} sexualHealth {seksuele gezondheid} socialCare {sociale zorg} other {FOUT} }

Handling URLs

Links within html links should not be translated.

Only the string in between the opening and closing should be translated.
