Setting and resetting your password
Choosing a password
You must choose a password when you first register.
For security, your password must:
10 or more characters long.
Contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one special character and one number.
Valid special characters: !"#$%&'*+,-.\:;<=>?@[]^_`{|}~
The above criteria is based on recommendations from OWASP and NCSC to ensure your medical records are kept secure.
Browsers (e.g. Firefox and Google Chrome), have built in password managers that will allow you to generate and store a secure PKB password. You can also use third party password managers, such as Bitwarden, 1Password and LastPass. This means you can use a more unique and hard-to-guess password for your PKB account without having to remember it. Bitwarden is free and 1Password offers PKB users a discount; more information can be found by clicking here.
